How does inspiration relate to truth? Do scientists experience inspiration in their pursuit of objective truth, or is all their work repeated trial and error void of the "human element" or even "divine intervention?" Most of my experience in grad school was perspiration, but there were moments of inspiration that helped get me through.
Does a musician have inspiration in their creation of music, or is it all just brain work, too? Can there be a mix of inspiration and perspiration in pursuit of uplifting music?
Religion is not unlike other human endeavors in seeking progress. Seeking religious truth is part inspiration and part perspiration, and as one gets practice, the perspiration part diminishes while the inspiration portion grows.
One one side, people who claim they can rely on others inspiration only are removing a critical part of the religious process.
On the other side, many atheist are not willing to put in the work of seeking religious truths and expect what fewer experience (mostly those that put in the effort beforehand) in having a divine epiphany.
So going forward, consider if you are relying (too much) on others' inspiration, waiting (too passively) for your own divine inspiration, or appropriately patiently working for inspiration.
